I am one of the many people who moved during high school and I finished at Parkway Central; my loyalty remained with U. City. Following high school and college (University of Kansas) I began a banking career in 1973 (primarily at Bank of America) which concluded 42+ years later with my retirement in late 2015. On my first day of my banking career, I was introduced to a colleague (Chris) and soon thereafter we began dating on and off for 6 years; we married in 1979. We had 2 children – a son who is now 36 and he has 2 young sons and a daughter who is now 34 and she has 3 young daughters – so 5 wonderful grandchildren Chris died of cancer on September 11, 2009 which was the morning of the 40th reunion. In September, 2013 (4 years later) I remarried Barb Singer (Class of 1970). Barb and I enjoy the “good life” of retirees – spending time on a variety of activities – visiting our grandchildren (they all live in Chicago) - the golf course – I substitute teach - and living in Florida the first 5 weeks of every year to avoid part of the St. Louis winter. I look forward to seeing all of you in October |

Looking forward to seeing you all at our half-century celebration. Our entire family continues to reside with us here in Oregon and enjoy the unsurpassed beauty and abundant outdoor activities. I feel very fortunate to have our grandson so very close. After 38 years of entrepreneurial business adventures Kathy and I have semi-retired in downtown Portland where we take full advantage of the many cultural resources this great city has to offer. |

In 1972 I married Wink Weinberg who I met at Ohio State University and we began a wonderful life together. We moved from Ohio, to Georgia, Washington D.C.,the Philippines and finally ended up in Atlanta. At the beginning I was doing several jobs but always working on my art and then when Wink finished his Medical training in Infectious Diseases I was able to start my own business designing and manufacturing a line of hand painted clothing and accessories ,combining my 2 passions art and fashion. Both of us are still working and plan on doing so as long as we can.Along the way we were able to raise 2 incredible kids. Eve lives in Manhatten and is a graphic designer. Gabriel and his wife Lauren live outside of Philly. They both went to MIT and he is an internet entrepreneur and she does statistics research for a drug company. Last March we welcomed Eli Weinberg to the family and that has been amazing. |

Comment: My wife, Deena Gross, and I retired in late 2017 from York, Pa., to Boynton Beach, Fla. after careers in journalism and corporate communications. I bridged retirement with seven years as a professional table games dealer (lots of roulette) at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course near Harrisburg. We've been traveling often. We got to Cuba this past May just before most cruise travel there was halted by the White House. Our 25th anniversary trip include Rome, Pompeii and a Windstar cruise featuring San Tropez and other scenic ports including Monaco, where we saw the 2016 Grand Prix. A few years before that, we drove around Provence with a stop in Nimes, where we saw nephew Charlie W. and his two junior USA Archery compound bow teammates win the World Archery Indoor Championship. That was one of several national and international championships he won before heading to Alaska where he works as a welder. Me? I still run, golf, play a little poker and with Deena continue traveling. Let me know if you are coming down to nearby Jupiter for spring training! |
