My husband and I met in grad school at Washington University, and moved to Seattle 31 years ago. We live adjacent to the University of Washington in an area that, in many respects, reminds me of U City. Our son, Ben, went to college on the east coast and now lives in New York City where he works as a business consultant. Our daughter, Sophie, is a senior in high school (one that looks like it had the same architect as UCHS) and I am enjoying reliving the better parts of high school vicariously. I practiced law for 20 years (part-time after I had kids) at a large law firm, and then practiced independently for 10 years as a work place arbtirator/mediator. Last year, I went to work part-time at a social service agency where I had volunteered extensively for years, doing fund development. I spend most of my free time taking care of my yard, reading and biking. We travel whenever we can. Much of that travel is to see family in St. Louis and elsewhere. I am very grateful for having grown up in such a wonderful community and look forward to the reunion. |

Comment: We have lived in Fairfield, Iowa at Maharishi University of Management for over 40 years and can't think of a more ideal environment. The town is extremely progressive and there is always something to do. I am totally into Pickleball these days along with still working full-time. Life is good and very fun. |

After a career in radio and television journalism that took me to Florida, Maryland and Arizona, I went into teaching. I've just started my 16th year at Webster University, where I teach Broadcast and Digital Journalism. I've been married to the same guy for almost 25 years and am the proud mother to two great sons. My oldest, Alexander, just graduated college and has a job in Chicago. My younger child, Ben, is in his senior year of college. Some of you have seen me at my weekend job at Knitty Couture in the loop. I call it my "empty nest" gig, and really enjoy running into the knitters from the class of '69. |
