Bernie was my best friend in the early years (grade school). Bernie, Artie Stone and I were pretty inseperable. Bernie (everybody back then called him Bunny) was a little guy, but tough as nails and much smarter than he let on to.
We went in different direction upon entering Hanley Jr. High, but time with him was formative for me in ways I can't describe.
